Welcome

Pastor Don Neace

We thank you for stopping by our website and allowing us the chance to show you a glimpse of our congregation. Waters Edge Church meets every Sunday at 10:30. We worship in a warm, family-friendly, biblically based, environment. Refreshments are available before and after service.

If you are not able to be physically present or you are curious of the morning service structure and worship experience, you can view our Worship services on FACEBOOK & YOUTUBE. You can also view past sermons using the Sermon / Pastor's Porch tab at the top of this web page.  The Pastor's Porch are short biblical messages.  We hope that you can one day join us.

OUR MISSION: "To Teach God's Word, in order to Transform Lives, to Build the Kingdom of God".

Water’s Edge Church Press Release

Water’s Edge Church, located at 2213 Country Club Blvd., Cape Coral, Florida, on January 5, 2025, will celebrate its 50th year as a local church congregation in Cape Coral. 50 years in Cape Coral marks the church as one of the oldest established churches in Cape Coral.

A 10:30 a.m. commemoration service will be held at the church location with inspirational music from the WEC Praise Team and the KidZone Kids. City leaders and special guests will participate in the celebration.  Ken Love, State Pastor for Florida Ministries of the Church of God, will be the featured speaker for the day.

Originally started in a home on the first Sunday of January 1975, as the First Church of God, the upstart congregation soon moved to host its church activities in the Bingo Hall located at the corner of Del Prado Blvd. and the Veteran’s Blvd. exchange. The first phase of construction began on its permanent location and was completed in 1980. A second and third stage of construction followed soon after.

In 2016, under the leadership of the church’s now longest-term pastor, Dr. Donald W. Neace, a restructuring of the church Core Values was initiated. A major part of the restructuring included a name change to its current, Water’s Edge Church. Explaining the name choice, Dr. Neace said, “This is not about the location of a building, it is about a mission to our city. And we certainly are a city on the ‘Water’s Edge.’”

The congregation affirms its Core Values in each gathering, “Water’s Edge Church exists to Teach God’s Word in order to Transform Lives and thereby Build God’s kingdom.’

The public is invited to attend this day of celebration.
