Originally from southern Illinois, Pastor Don Neace came to Cape Coral in July of 2013. He moved here from Virginia where he lead churches in Big Stone Gap and Dublin, VA, served as the State Pastor for Virginia for ten years, and did Chaplain ministry at two correctional facilities as a rewarding part of his ministry in Virginia.
Pastor Don was licensed and ordained in the Church of God (Anderson, IN). He earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree, with emphasis in Theology, from Christian Bible College in North Carolina. For ten years he served as Editor-in-Chief of Reformation Witness Magazine, a national publication of the Church of God Pastor’s Fellowship and was on the Editorial Advisory Board for One Voice Magazine, a national publication of the Church of God (Anderson). A published author, Pastor Don has received numerous journalism awards in Illinois and Virginia.
Since moving to Cape Coral, Pastor Don has led Water’s Edge Church to serve in the city, including becoming active members of the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce, the Cape Coral Community Foundation, Precinct 92 for general elections, and United Way VITA programing. Water’s Edge also partners with Caloosa Elementary School, the Cape Coral Caring Center, and Suncoast Estates Community Center. Pastor Don personally serves as a volunteer chaplain with the Cape Coral Fire Department and the Cape Coral Police Department.
